Etiquette

In order to provide a respectful, safe and pleasurable class environment for everyone, please read the advices and tips below.

I'M A BEGINNER
You don't need to be fit or have experience to start Capoeira, just take the class at your own pace. Everyone is friendly and the most advanced students will help you during the class, so don't be shy and come to try!

BE ON TIME
Arrive prior to class, leaving enough time to change (sometimes it can get busy).

DRESS APPROPRIATE
• Comfortable light clothes should be worn.
• Usually the training is with bare feet, if you need to wear trainers it's advisable to wear some that don't grip the floor to much. Make sure you cut your nails before hand!
• Avoid wearing heavy jewellery, for your own safety.
• It's advisable you bring a towel to clean your sweat, to prevent anyone from slipping.

DON'T EAT TOO MUCH BEFORE
You will move a lot during the class, what you want to avoid is practising on a full stomach.

BE MINDFUL OF INJURIES
Notify the Master of any injuries before class starts. It it's your first class you will be asked to read and sign a disclaimer.

HAVE FUN!
